The current Town Historian is William Clark, and his office is in the Newfane Town Hall on Main Street in Newfane. Hours are by appointment, and he can be reached by phone at 778-5947 ext. 7 or by email at Historian@TownOfNewfane.com.

Van Horn Mansion: Located at 2165 Lockport-Olcott Road in Burt (a hamlet within the town of Newfane), this beautifully restored mansion is open for tours every Sunday from 1-4pm and closed January to March. Call (716) 778-7197 for more information.

Country Village Museum: Located on the corner of West Creek and Ide Roads in Newfane, the buildings on this site are always open for their two festivals – the Apple Blossom Festival held the 3rd Sunday in May, and the Apple Harvest Festival held the last Sunday in September.
