Learn about our local geology with mineral testing, fossil studies, and wrapped rocks!

May 2 at 6pm: Potager Gardens Presented by Margaret Lapp

Learn about potager and kitchen gardens as a way to optimize health & Well-being, while saving money.

May 4 at 6pm: Invasive Species Presented by The Niagara Region Parks Interpretive Team

Learn what makes an invasive species invasive, about our local invasive species, and how you can do your part to stop the spread!

May 22 at 6pm: The Intersection of Literature and the Environment Presented by Ian Stapley

Learn the ways that literature can make us more aware of the natural world, how reading literature that focuses on the natural world can deepen our appreciation of, understanding of, and gratitude for the natural world. This class will focus on types of literature that connect us to the natural world. We will discuss specific genres such as natural history writing, eco-poetry, and cli-fi. In addition, we will take a look at eco-criticism, a lens which focuses our attention on our connection to the natural world in all genres of literature.

Join Our New Lego Club!

Starting March 1st, join us for Lego club on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM. All Legos will be supplied by the library, so please leave your Legos at home! Creations will be used toward the library’s display.

This activity is open to all ages.

Kids 5 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

Annual Book Sale

Check out Newfane Public Library’s annual book sale located and hosted by the Winery at Marjim Manor from January 16th to February 20th. All proceeds benefit the library.
